Girl Scouts Unite × Broadway.com

58th National Council Session & Girl Scouts Unite
Walter E. Washington Convention Center | Washington, DC

8,000 attendees.
A 10×10 space.
And a lot of Girl Scouts ready for Broadway.

Broadway.com joined the Girl Scouts' national event with an activation that needed to be fun, branded, and able to handle a very busy convention floor.

We had a 10×10 footprint to work with, so we knew from the beginning that the experience—and the flow around it—had to be simple.

We gave guests a choice. After taking their photo, guests chose between two backgrounds: a classic Broadway stage curtain or an AI-generated Broadway scene. Background removal let us give them two completely different looks without trying to squeeze multiple sets into the space.

And then came the fun part. Their finished photo was turned into a 6×20 jumbo print, branded with Broadway.com’s Broadway Is Better Together message and Broadway Group Sales information. Guests also received a digital copy.

We added props like Girl Power and No Drama, which were a perfect fit for the crowd. The girls loved it.The line stayed busy, and one of the best parts was watching their reactions when they saw the finished images. Behind the scenes, we planned for the volume.
With that many people in the building, we couldn’t afford to have the experience stop because of Wi-Fi or an equipment issue.

We staffed each shift with three team members, designed the flow around our 10×10 footprint, brought our own connectivity as a backup to the venue Wi-Fi, and had backup equipment ready. We also worked through several changes with the Broadway.com team leading up to the event including a few of those late-night emails that come with producing a large event. Their team thanked us afterward for being flexible and working through the changes with them.
